Introduction

For the 9th consecutive year, Ultimate of Rochester (AKA HIS Ultimate of Penfield and and formerly Ultimate of Macedon) is offering an activity for individuals at least 14 years old (children with or without parents and adults with or without children). Younger players that will be considered individually; younger players should be registered with a participating parent. Ultimate of Rochester is an inexpensive ($15/player) instructional and a competitive league for novice and experienced male and female players playing a 5-person non-contact version of ultimate scheduled once-per-week (for the busy family). When/Where

Meetings are scheduled on the 10 consecutive Saturdays between 4/27 and 6/29, inclusive from 10:00A.M. - 12:00P.M. at Softball Field #2 near the Circle Shelter in Ellison Park in Rochester (or a suitable facility in Penfield, Pittsford, or Fairport). This is a pick-up activity: new teams are created each week based upon weekly participation; a weekly commitment is not required!

Description

Ultimate of Rochester is an instructional and a competitive league for novice and experienced players. Ultimate (Frisbee) is a fast-paced non-contact sport that combines the passing, scoring, and kickoffs of football with the field movement of soccer with the pivoting of basketball with the jumping/agility of volleyball and badminton. Peruse the basic rules of the game and view a short (less than 2 and one-half minutes) video that explains/demonstrates the game of ultimate.

Registration Fee

Generally, the registration fee includes a Participation Fee of $15 per participant and a League Fee of $15/$10 per registration (per family); other fees may apply. However, a service opportunity (that can be accomplished onsite during meetings) is available that can significantly decrease the registration fee!

Queue

Registration is limited due to field availability; therefore, register today before the registration is closed! The roster will be queued in the order that the registrations are received and processed by the registrar of Ultimate of Rochester; participants earliest in the queue are given priority for roster placement. Registration does not guarantee participation; refunds will be issued for any participant not placed on the roster. The registration form and full payment must be received by the registrar of Ultimate of Rochester in order for the corresponding participants to be queued on the roster. Register as early as possible (don't wait until the deadline) to maximize the likelihood of roster placement.

Registration Process

To register for Ultimate of Rochester,

1. complete the on-line registration form (ideally) or e-mail the completed paper registration form in Microsoft Word format (2 pages) or mail via U.S. Postal Service the completed paper registration form in PDF format (2 pages) and

2. remit payment using a check or money order payable to H.I.S. Ultimate of Macedon

by Sunday April 21st of 2024 (though a rolling registration will be accepted)! Payment must be remitted and, if applicable, a printed paper registration form must be submitted to the registrar of Ultimate of Rochester via U.S. Postal Service at

1. Please observe that payment must be made to H.I.S. Ultimate of Macedon (the bank account name) despite the organization name. The organization has recently been renamed from H.I.S. Ultimate of Macedon to Ultimate of Rochester.

Roster Placement

• Limited Registration: Registration is limited due to field availability. Furthermore, the Ultimate of Rochester league will be advertised to many more people than in prior years; roster positions will be filled in the order that complete registrations are received by the registrar of Ultimate of Rochester. Therefore, register today before the registration is closed!

• Queue: The registration form and full payment must be received by the registrar of Ultimate of Rochester in order for the corresponding participants to be queued on the roster; the roster will be queued in the order that the registrations are received and processed by the registrar of Ultimate of Rochester. • Confirmation: The registrar of Ultimate of Rochester will e-mail only those registered for the 2024 Ultimate of Rochester season either by Wednesday April 24th of 2024 or within 24 hours of registering.
