Introduction
Introduction
Monroe County Parks in conjunction with Swain Resort are offering a Learn to (Downhill Ski)/Snowboard Program at Powder Mills Park at a convenient time for home-schooling families for as little as $123. The program is scheduled from 5–8P.M. on the following Thursdays: 1/5, 1/12, and 1/19. The program includes a lift ticket using the tow rope and a 1-hour (downhill skiing)/snowboarding group lesson; rental equipment is available for an extra fee. In addition, 5-day packages are also available with the last 2 (downhill skiing)/snowboarding opportunities scheduled at Swain Resort!
The hill used for the snow sports is located in Powder Mills Park on Woolston Road near the intersection with the Powder Mills Park access road in Pittsford of NY (14534); use the Powder Horn Lodge to check-in, rent equipment, don snow attire, purchase snacks, and warm-up by the fire.

The program must attain a minimum of 10 registrants (low threshold) in order to guarantee program viability; at the discretion of Swain Resort, fewer registrants may cause the program to be delayed by 1 or 2 hours or canceled. A maximum of 15 registrants are permitted. Hence the impetus upon early registration!

Refer to the Introductory Letter (PDF file) for more information.
