Bookmarking the On-Line Registration Form Instructions/Notes/Practice

Before completing the on-line registration form, read all the instructions and  notes to properly bookmark an entry. In addition, a short practice Google form is available to practice bookmarking a Google form; please, consider these resources before completing the lengthy on-line registration form.

3 Easy Steps to Bookmark a Completed Registration

New entries should be bookmarked to facilitate editing (if necessary) and use for registering next year; an on-line registration form properly bookmarked need never be completed again "from scratch" when registering for future seasons! The directions to bookmark the web page of the registrant's on-line registration form are as follows.

  1. Complete the on-line registration form by addressing all relevant questions/actions and finally <left clicking> the Submit button. The on-line registration form is replaced with a Confirmation web page. Refer to the following screenshot: Step #1: Image 1.

  2. Edit the registration by <left clicking> the Edit your response hyperlink near the bottom (scroll w-a-a-a-a-y down) of the Confirmation web page. A new web page is opened to the opening web page of the registrant's completed personal and unique on-line registration form; this new web page will become active within the browser. Refer to the following screenshots: Step #2: Image 1 (view this screenshot)Step #2: Image 2Step #2: Image 3, and Step #2: Image 4.

  3. Bookmark the active web page (to the registrant's completed personal and unique on-line registration form). Do not bookmark the URL beginning with "https://docs.google.com/forms/d/" within the text field below the text label; this URL will access a blank on-line registration form. Bookmarking Resources

  • The 11 screenshots included in the "3 Easy Steps to Bookmark a Completed Registration" section (above).

  • A 75-second on-line overview-video demonstrates the proper method to bookmark a Google form entry (the first 45 seconds) and to "exercise" the bookmark from a different browser tab to verify the veracity of the bookmark (the latter 30 seconds). This is a small investment of time that can save you (and me) time later. Will you commit to watching this very short video?

  • An on-line tutorial demonstrates the proper method to bookmark a Google form using three different browsers; this tutorial is more detailed than the previous "overview-video". The following is the table of contents for the on-line video tutorial.

A) 0:00 – 2:33: Introduction.
B) 2:34 – 2:43: Computer Used for On-Line Video Tutorial.
C) 2:44 – 11:24: Bookmarking a Google form using Internet Explorer.
D) 11:25 – 18:59: Bookmarking a Google form using Chrome.
E) 19:00 – 26:05: Bookmarking a Google form using Firefox.
F) 26:06 – 26:30: Conclusion.
View all or any portion of the this on-line video tutorial to properly bookmark a Google form. The concepts for bookmarking presented in this on-line video tutorial may be applied to other web browsers.

  • A short Practice on-line registration form is available for registrants to practice bookmarking a Google form; note that the on-line registration form is a Google form. Apply 2 minutes to bookmarking this very short practice Google form and then exercise the bookmark to verify the veracity of the bookmark (by observing the personal and unique entry) before attempting to complete the much lengthier on-line registration form. Try this first! Individuals that experience difficulty bookmarking the practice on-line registration form should ask for assistance or complete the paper registration.

Registrants are strongly encouraged to utilize these resources before completing the on-line registration form.

Meticulously Complete the On-Line Registration Form

After verifying that the practice on-line registration form can be bookmarked (see above) (you did this, right?!?), meticulously complete the on-line registration form; read the note regarding verifying the veracity of the bookmark (see below) before closing the browser tab used to complete the on-line registration form.

Verify the Veracity of the Bookmark

Do not close the web browser window that was used to register until the veracity of the bookmark to the personal and unique on-line registration has been validated! Open a new tab within the current browser or open a different browser and then validate the bookmark by exercising the bookmark to the personal and unique on-line registration form by advancing several pages to ensure the personal and unique on-line registration form contains personal and unique information (in the "Guardian Information" web page! If the bookmark fails to access the personal and unique on-line registration form, then

  • return to the browser tab that was used to complete the registration,

  • repeat the third step in the "3 Easy Steps to Bookmark a Completed Registration" enumerated above, and

  • confirm the bookmark references the personal and unique on-line registration per the "Verify the Veracity of the Bookmark" instructions above.

Repeat these instructions as often as necessary. Do not close the browser tab used to complete the on-line registration form until the bookmark has been successfully exercised to the personal and unique on-line registration entry and the entry has been reviewed (by viewing several pages) to observe personal information!

Recap of the On-Line Registration Process

  1. Apply 60 seconds to complete the Practice On-Line Registration Form and then exercise the bookmark and validate the data to ensure that a Google form can be bookmarked. You did this, right?!?

  2. Complete the on-line registration form.

  3. Bookmark the entry.

  4. In a different browser tab, exercise the bookmark and validate the entry (by stepping through several pages until personal data is observed); go back to Step #2 and to the browser tab used to complete the on-line registration form if the entry was not properly bookmarked and repeat Step #3 and Step #4.
